Jharkhand to set up 300MW power plants from renewable sources

The state of Jharkhand has taken first step to fulfill there RPO with a plan to install 300MW of renewable energy in the state. Under present rules out of the net generation 5% of power must come from renewable sources.

In compliance of this objective, the government recently signed a MoU worth Rs.2200 crore with US-based Bal Moral Capital Holding and Cross Industry Solution Inc to set up a 100 MW solar power plant in the state. Though the modalities of the power plant has not been finalized.
