Astonfield’s Shah appointed to US govt committee on renewable energy

Astonfield Renewable Resources Ltd’s co-Chairman Ameet Shah has been appointed to the US Department of Commerce’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee (RE&EEAC).

The acting US Secretary of Commerce Rebecca M. Blank appointed Shah to represent project developers in the renewable energy sector. He will help advice the Department’s top official on competitiveness issues facing the US renewable energy and energy efficiency exports, and help provide consensus advice on the development and administration of programmes and policies, according to a release here.

Formed in 2010 during President Barack Obama’s first administration, the Committee is made up of nearly 30 individuals representing renewable energy companies, energy efficiency companies, organisations and trade associations. Shah’s appointment will be effective through June 2014.

    India is bottomless pit for renewable untried technology from America , shah would know well how to push Beta products in to India.
