Brace yourselves for more frequent power cuts in Bengaluru city

KPTCL is carrying out infrastructure maintenance work.

You will have to brace yourselves up for more frequent power cuts in the coming days. With Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) expected to carry out infrastructure maintenance, the already harried consumers will face additional power cuts. At the moment, Bescom is contemplating on power cut schedule.

Speaking on the sidelines of the inauguration of a grid-connected solar plant at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Wednesday, Bescom Managing Director Pankaj Kumar Pandey said power consumers in Yelahanka and surrounding areas will have to put up with power cuts for the next 50 to 60 days.
