NTPC looks to partner with Tamil Nadu’s spinning mills to create 100 mw of solar power

CHENNAI: India’s biggest power generator NTPC’s solar push may see a southern launchpad.

Its target to develop 15,000 mw of solar capacity has found initial takers in the spinning mills in Tamil Nadu, where entrepreneurs in the southern textile belt are preparing a pitch document for getting the public sector entity create an initial 100 mw of solar power capacity. The near-term potential is 500 mw.
