BHEL adds 736 MW hydroelectric capacity in 2014-15

NEW DELHI: Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) today said it commissioned six hydro sets with a combined 736 MW capacity in 2014-15.

This accounts for 100 per cent of hydro power capacity addition in the country in the said fiscal, BHELBSE 0.13 % said in a statement.

Also, the highest addition in a single year by BHEL over the last decade, this was achieved by commissioning of projects of three major central utilities — NTPC, NHPCBSE -1.29 % and SJVNL — it added.
