Suzlon to supply turbines for 100.8MW wind project in Rajasthan, India
Wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon Group has signed a contract with India-based independent power producer (IPP) in the wind energy sector, ReNew Wind Power, to supply turbines for 100.8MW wind power project in Rajasthan.
Under the terms of the contract, Suzlon will supply 48 units of its robust S97-120m wind turbine generators (WTG) for the project being developed at the Bhesada wind site, Jaisalmer district.
The company will also oversee operations, maintenance and service of the wind site over the contracted period.
ReNew Wind Power chairman and CEO Sumant Sinha said: “This deal reinforces our commitment to developing sustainable energy solutions for India. Our partnership with Suzlon has added momentum to this mission.”
The 120m height S97-120 WTG has been designed to provide higher energy productivity while harnessing the optimal available wind resources.
