Cabinet nod for pacts on renewable energy

Cabinet on Wednesday gave nod for two separate agreements with France andMongolia to encourage and promote technical bilateral cooperation on new andrenewable energy issues.

“The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday gave its ex-post-facto approval for the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and France which was signed in Paris, during the visit of the Prime Minister to France on April 10, 2015,” an official statement said.

The signing of the MoU will help establish the basis for a cooperative institutional relationship to encourage and promote technical bilateral cooperation on the new and renewable energy issues on the basis of mutual benefit, equality and reciprocity.
