GenNext wants solar subsidy to power industry
A group of young entrepreneurs from the city is out to create awareness regarding implementation of solar power in industrial premises. While these entrepreneurs are demanding that the subsidy earlier available on solar power projects be re-started to make Punjab power surplus, they suggest reducing costs to make it further viable.
Vishal Juneja from Vidhata group said they have formed ‘Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO) Punjab’, a group of 30 from the state, to take up projects for the benefit of the industry and solar power production and use is one such project. “Recently, we organized a special conference of experts, consultants and vendors at Garg Acrylics in Kanganwal area for understanding the ins and outs of the projects, including their economic viability. Most of the members who attended the conference said they would want such projects for their factories and even homes,” said Vishal.
