Power supply plan for TCS, Infosys gathers momentum
Plan to supply electricity to IT majors TCS and Infosys Technologies on Super Corridor has gained momentum with Indore Development Authority (IDA) clearing funds for 132KV electricity sub-station to meet power requirement of commercial and residential units coming up in the corridor. “Board has allocated Rs 8 crore for construction of electricity sub-station and remaining Rs 8 crore will be given by distribution company,” said IDA chairman Shankar Lalwani. The board has given 4.5 acres of land to the power distribution company for setting up of facility in the area.
Lalwani said deliberations are on for providing another 4.5 acres of land to the company to establish a main power station near Limbodagari village on Super Corridor.
