Odisha Government Clears 7 Projects Worth Rs 41,900 Crore

In a bid to give a push to industrialisation, the High Level Clearance Authority (HLCA) headed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday approved seven projects with proposed investment of Rs 41,900 crore.

The investment proposals include a foreign direct investment (FDI) by Japanese company of Rs 3,109 crore, Industries Minister Debi Prasad Mishra told mediapersons after the meeting. The proposed projects will create direct employment opportunities for 4,450 people, he said.

The HLCA approved the proposal of JGreen Power Private Limited, a subsidiary of Tokyo-based JGreen Corporation Limited, to set up a 423 MW liquefied natural gas (LNG)-based power project at Dhamra in Bhadrak district.
