Suzlon wins 197.40 MW project order in Andhra

Wind power company Suzlon has won an order to execute a 197.40 MW project at Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh, for which the company has signed a binding term sheet and has received an advance payment.

As part of the project, Suzlon will supply, install and commission 47 wind turbines of S97-120 m hybrid tower and 47 units of S111-90 m tubular tower wind turbine with rated capacity of 2.1 MW each.

“We are glad to receive the repeat order from one of the leading renewable energy IPPs…The response for our new technology products, the S97-120 m 2.1 MW all-steel hybrid tower and S111-90 m has been encouraging,” Ishwar Mangal, Chief Sales Officer, Suzlon Energy said.

Suzlon will also offer operation and maintenance services for 12 years through an integrated service package for the project, which is scheduled to be commissioned by February 2017.

The Suzlon Group has a presence across Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa and North and South America with a cumulative installation of over 14GW of wind energy capacity, operations across 19 countries.
