Plot allotted to Adani for CNG station cancelled by Noida Authority
The Noida Authority has cancelled a plot allotted for a CNG station in the city. The plot was allotted to Adani Energy Limited in 2006 but the allottee failed to build a station on it. The Authority on Friday issued a public notice saying it would take over possession of the plot within seven days.
According to the notice, the plot in Sector 51 was allotted to the company in July 2006. The company has only built a boundary around the 1497.37 square metre plot, says the notice published in leading dailies.The notice further states show cause notices were handed to the company on November 10, 2015, November 27, 2015 and again on December 21, 2015. However, the notice failed to elicit a response provoking the Noida Authority to cancel the plot’s lease deed on January 18, 2016.As per the notice, the company was allotted the plot on July 18, 2006 and They were to establish the CNG station within 24 months. Possession was handed over by the Authority on July 31, 2006 and registration of plot was done on March 14, 2007. However, an inspection by project engineers revealed that no station has been set up yet at the site. tnnAuthority will now take over the possession of the plot after a week, the notice further read.
