India’s L&T awarded 400kV Oman Electricity deal

The Omani arm of Indian contracting giant, Larsen and Toubro (L&T), has been awarded a power construction deal in the Sultanate.

In a filing to Mumbai bourse Bombay Stock Exchange, L&T said its construction arm has won deals worth $479.7m, of which $106.2m was bagged by its power and transmission business across local and international markets.

L&T Oman received a turnkey order from Oman Electricity Transmission Company for the construction of 400kV reactor transformers and associated works at Sur and Izki substations.
