Tata Power Renewable Energy commissions 30 MW solar plant in Maharashtra
New Delhi: Private power generator Tata Power’s wholly-owned subsidiary Tata Power RenewableEnergy Ltd (TPREL) announced it has commissioned a 30 Megawatt (Mw) solar power plant at Satara in Maharashtra.
“The plant will produce over 62 million kilowatt hour (KWH) annually of solar power, covering the annual energy needs of over 14,000 Indian households,” the company said in a statement. The 30 MW solar plant uses domestically-manufactured Crystalline Silicon Photo-Voltaic modules, TPREL said.
The company’s present operating capacity is 1,487 MW comprising 530 MW wind and 957 MW solar capacity located in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Punjab, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan. The company is also implementing nearly 373 MW of renewable power projects at various locations on greenfield basis.
