Manipur sees 640 kW of completed solar rooftop systems
Hyderabad-based Freyr Energy, a solar solutions provider in India and Ghana, has announced the completion of over 600 kW of solar PV rooftop plants across Manipur, thus bringing the company’s portfolio in North East India to more than 1 MW.
Around INR 50 million was invested in the 640 kW, which included a 100 kW off-grid battery powered system at Manipur’s Central Agricultural University.
Of the system, Freyr writes, “The inverter maximizes solar power generation and helps stabilize power from the grid. It also has the functionality to smartly optimize and export solar power when the cost of grid power is at its highest, and draws power when it is low. The system helps withstand power fluctuations and guarantees power round the clock, and can also be monitored remotely.”
Other rooftop systems were installed at: the city convention center (100 kW); DM College (50 kW); Inner State bus terminal (100 kW); the National Sports Academy Hostel (100 kW); Khwairamband Bazaar (50 kW); Manipur State Film Development Society (50 kW); State Kala Academy (50 kW); and a Secured Office Complex (25 kW).
