Group formed to advise on power sector

The government has formalized a group of industrialists, bankers and head honchos of equipment makers to steer power sector growth and give the private sector a say in policy formulation. Minister of state for power Jyotiraditya Scindia will head the group. It includes Reliance ADAG chief Anil Ambani and Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry among others. SBI chairman Pratip Chowdhary and ICICI Bank’s Chanda Kochchar will represent banks in the group.
